Applejack could not help but grin as she looked over her handiwork. Massive piles of scrap metal, several tons worth of new parts, and a good load of new tools...all loaded successfully into the carriage, ready for transport back to Twilight Sparkle's laboratory. The orange-plated android gave a nod and playfully dusted her hands off as her creator approached, her mechanical dragon Spike trotting alongside her. "Job well done, Applejack," Twilight said, adjusting the goggles on her head a touch, "I'm just going to catalog our haul, make sure we got everything I ordered."
"Gotcha, Doc," the Honesty Unit replied, taking a step back to let the young scientist and Spike come up to the carriage.

Luna did not much care for how well her voice echoed across the Ponyville Shelter's Royal Hall as she entered. The room was so silent...so cold. It was not what the younger Princess was used to when in Celestia's presence. She had hoped things might have improved while she had been gone, but no. The two Gems stood across from each other on the porch outside the Crystal Temple. The echoing sound of waves crashing against the beach below and the gentle glow of stars in the sky above cradled them, but neither felt much like sleeping. That was what had brought them both out here in the first place, after all.
"Amethyst, please. I came out here to think, not to talk."
There was no bite to Pearl's answer. It was too exhausted for that.
"Yeah? Well same goes for me, but we're both out here now, so we might as well, right?" There was bite to Amethyst's reply. Exhaustion, too, but the bite was stronger. "After all...we're thinking about the same stuff, aren't we?"
Pearl slouched a bit against the railing with a long, low sigh. She straightened herself up immediately af
