In many ways, Brayaz took after his father. Like Xaotl, he almost always wore a bright little smile, and was always ready with a nice little joke or a witty reply.
In just as many ways, Brayaz took after his mother. Like Istalia, he had a calm demeanor and preferred to approach things methodically.
“Just your luck,” Xaotl liked to say, “You got the best of both worlds.”
Istalia preferred to take a slightly more grounded approach to it, though. “Just remember,” she’d tell him, “you’re our child. You don’t have to be like us for us to love you.”
Brayaz thus spent his childhood trying to figure out how all the pieces of himself truly fit together. He was happy, to be sure, and well-adjusted as well, with plenty in the way of activities he enjoyed. He loved his family, he was doing well in School, and in general he was content.

Bio:
* Even before Nightmare Moon enlisted them for her cause, Parasprites were considered highly dangerous. They have a voracious appetite and multiply very quickly, and can thus wipe out entire areas if they are not carefully monitored.

* When rested and content, they take a small, orb-like form that is relatively harmless. However, if angry or hungered, they take a more frightening Warrrior form.

* Nightmare Moon makes sure to keep her Parapsrites starved to ensure they are able to assume Warrior form immediately, and also so that they have a fierce appetite to motivate them into fighting.

* By vibrating their wings at hyper-speed, the Parapsprites are able to generate powerful destructive waves of Sonic Energy.

* Individually, Parasprites are almost non-sentient in terms of intelligence; it is only collectively, through a Hive Mind driven almost purely by the basest instincts, that they can function.

* Parasprites are also said to have strange reactions to the right kind of music. It is even said, if a very particular tune is played by a very particular combination of instruments, it can render them completely docile as long as it is played properly.

Wow, I didn't see this coming.

This is some seriously excellent enemy design! I love how you've managed to take these otherwise innocuous-looking little buggers and turn into something far more menacing... and mecha-reminiscent. ^_^

Great power-set you've equipped them with, too. Now I want to see a fight scene

Definitely happy to hear you're a fan of the design. I was honestly expecting it to feel weird to turn the cuddly little Parasprites into genuine opponents, but it actually turned out to be perfectly natural; the simplicity of their canon design translated surprisingly well into Mook form.

And you 'n' me both; I doubt we'll ever see one, but never say never, right? ;3 <3

Sounds like a good idea. Although seeing one of your comments below, I wonder if they will fight multiple enemy groups like the Goseigers did?

Perhaps not to the same extent as Goseiger or Boukenger, but there will indeed be more than one Big Bad for the series. ;3

I'm saying they're Mooks; the extent to which they're a threat at all rests pretty comfortably at "as much or as little as the plot demands". X3
